Tuition includes all books, supplies, and most field trips. It does not include the cost of string instruments, private music lessons (req. grades 4-8), tutoring or remedial work, extracurricular sports or extended day care.
Tuition Assistance
The Minnesota Waldorf School is supported by tuition and by gifts to the Annual Fund from alumni, parents, faculty, and friends of the school. We strive to make the Minnesota Waldorf School accessible to students from diverse economic backgrounds.
Who should apply?
Families who foresee difficulty paying full tuition are encouraged to apply for tuition assistance. Students must apply and be accepted to the school before they will be considered for tuition assistance. Please request information when you apply.
Who is
eligible?
In the 2006/2007 school year, 80% of the families receiving tuition assistance had incomes of less than $85,000. However, income is not the only consideration: tuition assistance is calculated using several factors, including family size, assets, debts, and unusual expenses.
How do I
apply?
MWS uses a third party, School and Student Service for Financial Aid, to determine need. Financial assistance decisions are made by the MWS Tuition Assistance Committee, and all information is kept in strict confidence.
